TITLE

Recommendation to suspend Council rule contained in Long Beach Municipal Code Section 2.03.020(B) relating to the meeting schedule of the City Council in order to cancel the City Council meeting of January 3, 2017.

DISCUSSION

Given that there are five Tuesdays in January of 2017, the Council can cancel the January 3rd meeting and still have sufficient time to address issues in a timely manner without creating conflicts with holiday schedules.

FISCAL IMPACT

There is no financial impact to cancel this meeting.
