TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file report on travel to Washington, DC, for a Federal Legislation Committee trip in April 2016.
DISCUSSION
From April 19th - 22nd, I travelled to Washington, D.C., as Chair of the Federal Legislation Committee with Co-Chair Stacy Mungo, Mayor Robert Garcia and staff from the Port of Long Beach, the Long Beach Transit Agency and the Gas Department.
Along with City staff, we were able to meet with Congressional representatives, the Office of Cabinet Affairs, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Economic Development Agency and the Federal Transit Authority to provide various Long Beach updates and discuss relevant issues related to the City's federal legislative agenda.

There is no fiscal impact to file this report.
