TITLE
Recommendation to request that District One's carry-over funds from 2014-2015 in the amount of $29,102 be directed to the district office budget. These funds will be used for District One community and neighborhood events and meetings.
DISCUSSION
For fiscal year 2014-2015, Council District One had an office budget cost savings of $29,102.00. This comes as a result of two reasons: the previous fiscal year (2013-2014) carry-over budget cost savings and a prudent approach for the 2014- 2015 office budget.
In past years, the process for a carry-over budget for council offices was to direct the cost savings back to departments and specific bureaus, as was done for Council District One for the 2013-2014 fiscal year. For FY 2013-2014 the district directed spending to the Neighborhood Services Bureau, under the City's Development Services Department, to be used for community and neighborhood events and meetings.
The First District is providing a council letter at the request of the City Manager's office for the 2014-2015 fiscal year carry-over funds.
