TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file report on travel to Sacramento, CA on January 27, 2016.
DISCUSSION
On January 27, 2016, I traveled to Sacramento with the State Legislative Committee, the Mayor and City staff to meet with Long Beach's state legislative delegation and other legislative leaders to discuss Long Beach's 2016 Adopted State Legislative Agenda, as well as advocate for pertinent state issues affecting Long Beach.
Among the issues the Committee discussed were the Lower Los Angeles River Working Group, Redevelopment dissolution, statewide transportation priorities, oil operations, community schools, regional governance and other issues.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact with the filing of this report.
SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.
