Recommendation to receive and file presentation on the Los Altos Youth Baseball and Softball League.
DISCUSSION
The Los Altos Youth Baseball and Softball League has been serving Long Beach's youth for almost 60 years. LAYBS is dedicated to improving the quality of youth baseball in Long Beach by providing the highest quality of coaching and support. LAYBS gives youth of all skill levels the opportunity to train in the fundamentals of the game and advance their abilities as players. These aspiring athletes are instilled with the values of teamwork, good sportsmanship, fair play, and competition.
On July 19th, The Los Altos 10U All-Star Team became the Southern California ASA C State Champions, and has gone on to compete in the national championship. With a winning record of 35-2, we are confident The Los Altos 1OU All Star Team will continue to excel athletically. We are honored to have the players and coaches represent our City, and are pleased to present them with certificates of recognition on behalf of the City of Long Beach.
