TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file the update from the Central Project Area Committee regarding committee priorities.
DISCUSSION
The overall purpose of the redevelopment effort for Central Long Beach is to redirect and concentrate commercial facilities in significant centers and along major arterial corridors, while accommodating residential needs and preserving and rehabiltating existing neighborhoods.
The Central Project Area Committee has worked to develop a list of community priorities over the past several months and has expressed an interest in sharing with the City Council the current status of their findings.
The community desire remains of high priority to the City of Long Beach. CPAC members have put countless hours into their community and are here tonight to share with us their findings.
