Wayne Chaney, Sr. is a Firefighter with the Long Beach Fire Department, where he has been named Employee of the Year. He is an active member of his community and is the proud recipient of the NAACP Community Award, Press Telegram Community Hero Award, and the Rotary Club Community Service Award.

Ralph A. Brooks RN, MHCM - State Licensed Registered Nurse - 9th District Resident
Ralph A. Brooks is a Senior Clinical Review Nurse with United Healthcare. He has previously worked as a Case Manager at Long Beach Memorial Hospital and at the St. Mary Medical Center/C.A.R.E. Program as a Certified HIV/AIDS Case Manager.

Colleen Bentley - Directorship 6 - 3rd District Resident
Maricela Renteria de Rivera - Reappointment to Directorship 5 - 2nd District Resident
Colleen Bentley worked in the California State University Chancellor's Office for 25 years, where she served as public affairs director and special projects director. Her work included working with the Chancellor, Board of Trustees and the 23 campus presidents on media relations, communication issues and video/web projects. She currently serves on the CSULB Alumni Association board, the Leadership Long Beach honorary board and the advisory board for the Long Beach Public Library Foundation.
Maricela Renteria de Rivera was appointed to Directorship 5 in 2012 and has served the board of directors as the Chair of the Transparency Committee, member of the Selection Committee for Long Beach Transit's current CEO, and two years on the Executive Committee. Maricela is the Co-Founder/Director of Long Beach Breastfeeds, and formally worked as a Public Affairs Assistant for the Long Beach Airport.
