TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $85,000 for the claim of Teresa Palacios; and $100,000 for the claim of William Wendt, in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Teresa Palacios has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on November 17, 2015, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release in the amount of $85,000.00 by the City and Teresa Palacios.
William Wendt has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on November 17, 2015, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release in the amount of $100,000.00 by the City and William Wendt.
