DISCUSSION
Los Angeles County's innovation, technology and creative communities are coming together for the 2015 Los Angeles Innovation Week. These communities are planning events county-wide, including local events here in the City of Long Beach as part of a celebration of technology and innovation continuing during the weeks of October 2nd to 22nd,2015.

This year's program aims to host more than fifty (50) events from cleantech to gaming to aerospace, digital media and beyond, while celebrating the connection between cultural, industry, and diversity by highlighting local entrepreneurship rooted in boundless creativity and diversity.

The Technology and Innovation Department, along with the Bloomberg i-Team, are working with the community to provide a wide variety of events for Innovation Week. Some of the events held in the City of Long Beach such as Digi Camps and Open Data Forums, will include discussions with Long Beach innovators, entrepreneurs, civic leaders and many others. The details of the events in Long Beach are provided at the following link: http://iongbeach.gov/iteam/innovation-Week/.

Together, these organizations, and the thousands of inspired individuals who will be participating in Innovation Week(s), have the potential to reshape Long Beach for the better in many ways; and their commitment to doing so should be celebrated.
