DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute amendments to the contract with Tait Environmental Services, Inc., to provide UST consulting and project management services to the Department of Financial Management, Fleet Services Bureau.

On January 20, 2015, the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with Tait Environmental Services, Inc., in an annual amount not to exceed $240,000, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. Additional funds are being requested to cover unanticipated costs related to project management for the construction at the Alamitos Bay Marina fuel dock, the Shoreline Marine fuel dock transition sump repairs and the re-engineering of the fuel site at the West Police Department station into an above-ground storage tank fuel facility. Tait Environmental Services, Inc., has also provided significant assistance with compliance consulting with respect to the Consent Judgment, including preparation for hearings on UST violations and interpretation of compliance regulations. The Fleet Services Bureau is requesting additional contract authority of $186,760 for the first year, increasing the total annual amount not to exceed $426,760.
