TITLE

Recommendation to receive and file the application of Cuban Pete’s Rhythm Lounge, LLC, dba Cuban Pete’s Mojito Lounge, for a premise-to-premise transfer of an Alcoholic Beverage Control License, at 245 Pine Avenue, Suites 200, 220, 260, and 290.  (District 2)

DISCUSSION

The applicant currently has an active public premise ABC license at Suites 260 and 290. The applicant exchanged the public premise license for a bonifide eating place license and expanded to Suites 200 and 220. It is City Council policy to review applications for ABC licenses to determine if a basis for protest against the issuance of the license exists.  The attached application lists the possible bases for protest.

TIMING CONSIDERATIONS

City Council response is due to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control by August 28, 2015.  Accordingly, City Council action is required at the August 18, 2015 City Council meeting.

None.
