TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Request for Award for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $127,075, less $61,539.50 in permanent disability benefits paid, with a life pension thereafter of $92.77 per week in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Eric Waits.
DISCUSSION
Eric Waits has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on April 21, 2015, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Eric Waits, based upon a 84 percent disability rating with further provisions for a life pension at the rate $92.77 per week after the permanent disability has been paid, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
