TITLE
Recommendation to, subject to review and consideration by the Personnel and Civil Service Committee in accordance with Long Beach Municipal Code Section 2.03.065, confirm Charter Commission appointments pursuant to Section 509 of the City Charter and Section 2.03.065 of the Long Beach Municipal Code; or in the alternative, if for some reason the Personnel and Civil Service Committee does not meet prior to or on February 17, 2015, waive the requirement for consideration and recommendation by the Personnel and Civil Service Committee in accordance with Section 2.03.065, and confirm Charter Commission appointments pursuant to Section 509 of the City Charter and Section 2.03.065 of the Long Beach Municipal Code.

• Alan Fox - 8th District Resident - Reappointment 2012-2016 term
Alan Fox has been a resident of the City of Long Beach for more than 23 years, and is very active in the City's business and legal communities. Mr. Fox has served on the City's Airport Commission for more than 5 years, serves as Chair of the Memorial Medical Center Foundation, and is active with Leadership Long Beach. Mr. Fox has worked as a lawyer for more than 40 years, earning his degrees from Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
