DISCUSSION
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) has consistently contracted with environmental and engineering consulting firms to provide services pertinent to the maintenance and management of the City's recreational water bodies, including restoration and enhancement of EI Dorado Park lakes, Scherer Park lakes sediment removal, Bluff Park restoration, Colorado and Rainbow Lagoons renovation and restoration, and dredging at Alamitos Bay and its entry channel; and structural elements, such as restoration and renovation of the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier, inclusive of seismic retrofit, as well as other projects requiring professional expertise. Services provided through these contracts have included:
