TITLE
Recommendation to respectfully request City Attorney to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. C-7090 modifying the Belmont Shore Parking Meter Revenue permissible uses and boundary.

DISCUSSION
At the May 15, 2008 meeting of the Belmont Shore Parking and Business Improvement Area Advisory Commission, the Commission voted to include the Bay Shore Neighborhood Library property within the boundary. Inclusion of the library will allow for the installation of parking meters. The revenue accumulated from the parking meters will be used for operations and maintenance at the library.

The Commission also voted to include the public right of way on Livingston Drive at the west entrance of the Belmont Shore Business District. The boundary will be extended approximately 400 feet west on the south side of Livingston Drive.
Extension of the boundary will allow for the installation of a gateway sign on Livingston Drive approaching the intersection of 2nd Street and Quincy Avenue.

Modifying an existing ordinance is required to change the boundaries of the Belmont Shore Parking and Business Improvement Area Advisory Commission jurisdiction.
The boundary will be expanded to include the Bay Shore Neighborhood Library and a portion of Livingston Drive.
