TITLE
Recommendation to request that the reports regarding historical subsidence in the Naples area and related seawall deterioration be sent to the State Lands Commission to pursue State funding for seawall maintenance, repair and replacement to the extent that the State's oil operations contributed to the deterioration of the seawalls.
 
DISCUSSION
The City and State Lands Commission jointly commissioned two studies to be completed that would:
 
1)  Determine the amount and causes of subsidence in the Naples area, including the amount of such subsidence that can be linked to the area oil production; and
 
2)  The extent that seawall damage and deterioration can be directly related to that subsidence.
