TITLE
Recommendation to withdraw hearing agenda item for Wilfredo Antonio Ramos, dba La Hacienda Club, 1551 Santa Fe Avenue for a Permit for Entertainment With Dancing by Patrons at an existing bar/tavern/lounge. (District 1)
DISCUSSION
This matter was originally scheduled for hearing on April 1, 2008, but was continued pending property acquisition by the Redevelopment Agency of Long Beach (RDA). On October 3, 2008, the RDA acquired the property located at 1545 to 1551 Santa Fe Avenue. A settlement agreement was reached between the current business tenant, Wilfredo Antonio Ramos, DBA La Hacienda Club, and the RDA wherein Mr. Ramos agreed to cease entertainment activities as of November 5, 2008, and vacate the premises on or before January 1, 2009. As a result, the entertainment permit application is effectively withdrawn.
This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Cristyl Meyers on October 20, 2008.

City Council action on this matter is not time critical.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
