TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Requests for Awards for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay 1) $18,317.50,
2) $2,520 and 3) $49,450 for the claim of Parine Soth; and $69,742.50 for the claim of Robert Wynne in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Parine Soth has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on March 4, 2008, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Parine Soth, based upon a 1) 27 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, 2) 6 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, and 3) 42 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
Robert Wynne has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on March 4, 2008, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Robert Wynne, based upon a 68 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
