TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to pay the sum of $8,000 in full settlement of lawsuit entitled Hunt v. City of Long Beach,
Case No. NC038850.
DISCUSSION
This suit arises out of a trip and fall incident in which plaintiff sustained a shoulder fracture.
The case was ordered to mediation by the Court. After a thorough presentation of evidence, the parties were able to reach a tentative settlement agreement of $8,000.00, subject to City Council approval.
The Economic Development and Finance Committee approved the proposed settlement on November 21,2007.
SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.
