TITLE

DISCUSSION
Reginald Givins has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on August 8, 2014, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Reginald Givins, based upon a 53 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
Gary Richens has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on August 8, 2014, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of four Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Gary Richens, based upon 1) a 48 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, 2) a 48 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, 3) a 10 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, and 4) a 73 percent disability rating with further provision for a life pension at the rate of $105.48 per week after the permanent disability has been paid, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.

Approve recommendation.
