TITLE
Recommendation to adopt resolution designating the ballot listing of the candidates which have been nominated for the City of Long Beach Special Municipal Election on May 1, 2007. (District 6)
DISCUSSION
Long Beach City Charter Section 1907 requires that the City Clerk, no later than 30 days prior to each election, "enter the names of the candidates nominated in a list with the offices to be filled, and...certify such list to the City Council as being the list of candidates nominated as required by law." Pursuant to this section, the attached list of certified candidates has been prepared and is hereby forwarded to the City Council.
The City Attorney has prepared the attached Resolution designating the official ballot listing of the candidates that have been nominated for the City's Special Municipal Election.
