TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute all necessary documents to assign Agreement No. 29030 with Kaku Associates to Fehr and Peers Associates, Inc. (Citywide)
DISCUSSION
On November 4, 2003, the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with Kaku Associates for as-needed Transportation Planning Services. A contract was subsequently executed for the period of November 1, 2004 to October 31, 2007. On December 8, 2006, Kaku Associates was purchased by Fehr & Peers Associates, Inc. Fehr & Peers has retained the key employee identified in the agreement and will continue providing services under the terms of the agreement.
This letter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Lori A. Conway on January 2, 2007 and Budget Management Officer David Wodynski on December 29, 2006.
TIMING CONSIDERATIONS
City Council action is requested on January 16, 2007 to enable the issuance of a work order to Fehr and Peers for assistance with grant application submittals for the Metro 2007 Call for Projects.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with the suggested action.
