TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromises and Releases for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $14,000 for permanent disability rating, and separate authority to pay $1,000 to resolve vocational rehabilitation benefits for claim of Nancy Harold; and authority to pay $5,725 for claim of Miguel Jimenez, in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Nancy Harold has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on October 3, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board by the City, based upon 1) $14,000.00 for Compromise and Release, and (2) $1,000.00 to buyout vocational rehabilitation benefits.
Miguel Jimenez has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on October 3, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release by the City and Miguel Jimenez.
