TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to pay the sum of $15,000 in full settlement of lawsuit entitled Howard K. Brown, Jr. vs. City of Long Beach, et al., Case No. BC301644.

DISCUSSION

This lawsuit arises out Plaintiffs arrest by Long Beach Police Officers on April 12, 2003. Plaintiff claims to have sustained a fractured wrist during the course of the arrest.

Through negotiations bekeen counsel, a tentative Settlement of $15,000.00 was reached, subject to City Council approval.

Approve recommendation.
