TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Requests for Awards for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $24,990 for the claim of Ronnie Buries; and $16,742.50 for claim of Marco Reyes in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Ronnie Buries has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on April 4,2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Mr. Buries, based upon a 33 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
Marco Reyes has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on April 4, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Marco Reyes, based upon a 24 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
