DISCUSSION

We are presenting the proposal, on behalf of Sister City of Long Beach, Inc. to

form a sister city affiliation between the City of Long Beach and Izmir, Turkey.

We will present a document at the December 13, 2005 Council Meeting

acknowledging, recognizing and authorizing the establishment of a sister city

affiliation between the City of Long Beach and the City of Izmir, Turkey.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
