TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute subdivision agreement for Parcel No. 60525, located north of 68th Street between Atlantic Avenue and Eastondale Avenue. (District 9)
DISCUSSION
A final subdivision map has been processed for Parcel No. 60525, in conformance with
Long Beach Municipal Code Chapter 20.16, State of California Government Code
Section 66458, applicable local subdivision ordinances and subsequent rulings.
The project to be developed by Orrick Square, LLC, will divide the 19,690-square foot
parcel at 6900 Atlantic Avenue for construction of three new single-family detached
homes.
A subdivision agreement has been prepared, providing for the installation of public
improvements required in connection with this subdivision. Contained in the agreement
for Parcel No. 60525 are subdivision financial guarantees, in the form of a cashier's
check, in the amount of $18,500, which will be returned upon acceptance by the City of
the improvements. A vicinity map is attached showing the location of the proposed
development.
This matter was reviewed by Assistant City Attorney Michael J. Mais on December 1,
2005, and Budget Management Officer David Wodynski on November 23,2005.
TIMING CONSIDERATIONS
City Council action on this matter is requested on December 13, 2005, to allow the
developer to complete the development project.
FISCAL IMPACT
A subdivision processing fee of $1,291.50 was deposited to'the General Fund (GP) in
the Department of Public Works (PW).
