TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute the Fourth Amendment to Contract No. 27905 with the law firm of Richards, Watson & Gershon in the matter entitled, Shell Chemical Company, et al. vs. County of Los Angeles, et al., Case Nos. CV-00-1917 MRP (MANx); CV-00-1938 MRP (MANx); CV-00-6420 MRP (MANx).
DISCUSSION
The City Council is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute a
Fourth Amendment to Contract No. 27905 with the law firm of Richards, Watson
& Gershon to increase the total amount of the contract by an additional
$1 00,000.00. The firm has been authorized to represent the City in the abovecaptioned
litigation. The increase in the contract is necessary in order that the
legal interests of the City in this litigation are properly served.
