DISCUSSION
On March 25, 2003, the City Council authorized the agreements with Huitt-Zollars,
Incorporated, RBF Consulting, Tetra Tech, Inc., and DMJM+Harris, Inc., and on August
19, 2003, the City Council authorized the agreements with CH2M Hill, Inc., HNTB
Corporation and Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., to provide engineering services to
various Capital Improvement Projects throughout the City (Council letters attached).
The above-mentioned firms have worked diligently with staff in delivering projects
through the City’s CIP and RDA process.
Due to the expansive need for on-call engineering services to aid in capital project
delivery, it is necessary to execute amendments to increase funding with these firms, in
order to continue with on-going and new capital improvement projects.
This matter was reviewed by Senior Deputy City Attorney Donna F. Gwin on October
17,2005, and Budget Management Officer David Wodynski on October 20,2005.


TIMING CONSIDERATIONS
City Council action on this matter is requested on November 1, 2005. Extension of
these agreements will allow the uninterrupted continuation of on-going projects as well
as the implementation of new projects.


FISCAL IMPACT
Sufficient funds to cover these costs are budgeted in various Capital Improvement Fund
CP) projects, in the departments of Public Works (PW), Community Development (CD)
