TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to pay sum of $105,000 in full settlement of lawsuit entitled Dan McCullough, et al. v. City of Long Beach.
DISCUSSION
This lawsuit involves an anti-abortion protest that occurred on September 22, 2002 on the public sidewalk in front of Millikan High School. Long Beach officers arrested a protestor who stood on the sidewalk and forced the other protestors to move
from the location in violation of their constitutional rights.
At a settlement conference, a tentative settlement totaling $105,000 was reached for all the plaintiffs.
