TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $52,000 for claim of Darrell Mayers, $9,500 for claim of Vaurice Payton, and $42,000 and $10,000 for Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits for a total of $52,000 for claim of Cheryl Perkins-Walker in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Darrell Mayers has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on June 21, 2005, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of a Compromise and Release by the City and Mr. Mayers, based upon a 60 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
Vaurice Payton has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on June 21, 2005, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of a Compromise and Release by the City and Mr. Payton to settle his Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits.
Cheryl Perkins-Walker has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on June 21, 2005, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release by the City and Ms. Perkins-Walker.
