TITLE

DISCUSSION

The Housing and Neighborhoods Committee, at its meeting held Monday, August 8, 2005, considered communications relative to the above subject. It is the recommendation of the Housing and Neighborhoods Committee, that the City Council: 1)Receive communications regarding the issues of Shopping Carts in the Community 2)Request City Attorney to prepare a draft ordinance for review; 3)Adopt staff recommendations regarding a new shopping cart containment and retrieval program as outlined in Attachment A.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
