TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute the First Amendment to Agreement No. 28430 with Lim & Nascimento Engineering Corporation, dba LAN Engineering, extending the term of the agreement to August 31, 2006. (Citywide)
DISCUSSION
On July 1, 2003, the City Council authorized an agreement with LAN Engineering, to provide engineering services for the preparation of a Storm Drain Assessment Study, Storm Drain Master Plan and a Geographic Information System (GIS) Based Management Program (Council letter attached). Council action authorized an agreement amount not to exceed $460,000 for a 2-year term. The agreement specified
a 2-year term from September 1, 2003, through August 31, 2005. During the above-mentioned agreement term, the project completion was delayed several times, due to the need for additional research and GIS data inputting by the consultant. It is necessary to issue an amendment to extend the agreement term with LAN Engineering through August 31, 2006, with no increase in funding, in order to complete all project tasks.
