Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute a quitclaim deed for a water facility easement at 3701 Lakewood Boulevard (District 5)
DISCUSSION
Plans are being prepared to redevelop the 260-acre Boeing Commercial Aircraft assembly plant at 3701 Lakewood Boulevard, which entails clearing the site of unnecessary
easements. The Water Department has determined that an easement for their facilities granted in 1971 is no longer necessary. Attached Sketch No. 211 QC shows the location of this easement. At this time, it is appropriate to quitclaim the easement to the McDonnell Douglas Corporation, the entity that currently holds title to the parcel. In conformance with the Environmental Quality Act, EIR No. 2001051 048 was certified.
