TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to pay the sum of $5,500 in full settlement of lawsuit entitled Esperanza Lopez, et al. v. City of Long Beach.
DISCUSSION
On April 1,2003, a city trash truck driven by Cleo Lee, Jr. backed into a car
driven by Esperanza Lopez and her three passengers. Everyone inside the Lopez car received medical treatment for their injuries.
After negotiating with counsel for the plaintiffs, a settlement totaling
$5,500 was reached for all the plaintiffs.
