Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute Ninth Amendment to Agreement No. 26360 with law firm Bannan, Green, Frank & Terzian, LLP to increase the amount of the contract by $600,000 for legal services in the matter entitled Shirley and Jason McClure v. City of Long Beach, et al., Case No. CV 92-2776-JSL (Kx)
DISCUSSION
The City Council is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute a Ninth Amendment to Contract No. 26360 with the law firm BANNAN, GREEN, FRANK & TEFUIAN, LLP, to increase the total amount of the contract by $600,000. They have been
authorized to represent the City and certain City employees in the above-captioned litigation. The increase in the contract is necessary in order that the legal interests of the City in this
complex litigation are properly served. Therefore, it is respectfully requested that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute the Ninth Amendment to Contract No. 26360.
