DISCUSSION
The City of Long Beach has been named a top-ten digital city for the past 3 years due to its investment in digital technology, exemplified by the City's efforts in expanding access to free wireless internet in public spaces.

Free public Wi-Fi has been available at City Hall and the Long Beach Airport for some time, and Long Beach libraries and many of the City's parks were added in the last couple of years. The next step is to continue expanding wireless Internet access to other public buildings and popular business areas.

FISCAL IMPACT
