Recommendation to adopt minute order to grant an application from Grace V. Miller for a widow's pension.
DISCUSSION
Ruth Turpin has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on March 4, 2014, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Ruth Turpin, based upon 1) an 84 percent disability rating; and 2) a further provision for a Life Pension at the rate of $56.77 per week after the permanent disability has been fully paid; and 3) $184,225.67 for resolution of a temporary disability dispute. Finally, there would be a provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.
