The existing airfield signage system at the Long Beach Airport consists of over 260 lighted signs that provide directional guidance to pilots. Approximately 112 signs are faded and their replacement is necessary to improve and maintain safety on the airfield. City Council adoption of the plans and specifications and award of the contract are being recommended concurrently, to expedite implementation of this project.
