Donation and installation by BP America Inc. of photovoltaic solar panels on a City facility.  (District 3)

Discussion
The City is in receipt of a written communication from the BP Director of Local Government & Regulatory Affairs stating that BP America Inc. has approved the donation equivalent to approximately $30,000, of photovoltaic panels capable of producing approximately 3 to 5 KW (kilowatts) of power. The donation includes the cost of panels and their installation to be located on the Belmont Shore Community Resources Center, a City facility. BP takes pride in being a partner in the communities in which their employees live and work, and this donation is in the spirit of this philosophy.

This matter was reviewed by Assistant Deputy City Attorney Michael J. Mais and by Budget Bureau Manager Michael Killebrew on May 24,2004.
