TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $650, offset by the Seventh Council District One-time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to the Long Beach Camerata Singers to support 2023 Long Beach Camerata Singers’ Gala on September 21, 2023; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $650 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
Councilmember Roberto Uranga would like to support the Long Beach Camerata Singers. The Long Beach Camerata Singers is dedicated to excellence in choral music and works to enrich the lives of our community and performers through a broad spectrum of repertoire, innovative programming, and arts education. These funds will be used to support their 2023 Gala which is scheduled for September 21, 2023.
This matter has been reviewed by Budget Analyst Joe R. Guerrero on August 3, 2023.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to the Long Beach Camerata Singers to support the 2023 Camerata Singers’ Gala as written above. The total appropriation increase of $650 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of Seventh Council District One-time District Priority funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. This recommendation is anticipated to have minimal impact on staff hours beyond the budgeted scope of duties and a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.
