TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits for approval by Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $5,000 in compliance with the agreed upon settlement for claim of Rick Delfin.
DISCUSSION
Mr. Rick Delfin has made a claim for injuries allegedly
sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long
Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee, on
February 15, 2005, approved the settlement of Mr. Delfin's
Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits in the amount of $5,000.00.
We, therefore, request authority to pay $5,000.00 in
compliance the agreed upon settlement.
