DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to amend Contract No. 34135 with D. Woolley & Associates, Inc., Contract No. 34129 with Johnson-Frank & Associates, Inc. and Contract No. 34136 with Towill, Inc., to extend the term of the contracts to December 31, 2022, for as-needed surveying services.

On November 17, 2015, the City Council adopted Specifications No. RFQ PW15-152 and awarded contracts to D. Woolley & Associates, Inc., Johnson-Frank & Associates, Inc., and Towill, Inc., for as-needed professional surveying services, for a total aggregate amount not to exceed $6,000,000 for a period of three years, with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. These firms provide professional asĀ­needed surveying services for the delivery of preliminary design surveys, construction staking, control surveys, global positioning surveys (GPS), levels, and subdivision map checking services for various City Departments, including Public Works, Development Services, Airport, Energy Resources, and Parks, Recreation and Marine.

On October 6, 2020, City Council extended the above contracts for a one-year period. The current contracts expire December 31, 2021, and the City has exhausted all extensions permitted in the contracts. Extending the term an additional year will ensure continuity of contracted deliverables while the procurement for the next set of on-call professional surveying services contracts is underway.
