TITLE
Recommendation to request City Attorney to prepare an amendment to the Salary Resolution for Fiscal Year 2007.
DISCUSSION
This letter is a request to the City Council to amend the Salary Resolution to reflect a change to the organization of and a consolidation of City Prosecutor Department activities. I am proposing an amendment to the Salary Resolution which will place all attorney positions within the City Prosecutor Department within the same salary range.
Attachment A summarizes the proposed change to the Salary Resolution. The last change to the Salary Resolution by the City Council was on June 5, 2007.
TIMING CONSIDERATIONS
City Council approval of this request to prepare a resolution amending the Salary Resolution has been placed on July 3, 2007 agenda to ensure implementation of the planned organization changes in a timely manner.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no significant fiscal impact from the requested amendment. The amendment will be supported from current appropriations.
