TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file travel report on Independent Cities Association 47th Annual Seminar, July 13-15, 2007, San Diego, California.
DISCUSSION
I would like to take this opportunity to file a travel report as required by AB 1234 for activities consistent with the definition of "official City Business" under the City Auditor's Travel and Reimbursement Policy for Non-AR Departments:
. Meetings with government and business leaders for the purpose of carrying
out official City business;
. Non-partisan conferences, training and education trips, including visiting other
governments to discuss and observe best practices;
. Travel in furtherance of an adopted policy, ordinance or City resolution.
The City is a member of the Independent Cities Association (ICA) and my attendance at the following seminar was authorized in the capacity of that membership.

This conference provided me with the opportunity to represent the City in a working dialogue that focused on law enforcement and alternative fuel vehicles.
