TITLE

Recommendation to receive and file notice of settlement between Verizon and City of Long Beach.

DISCUSSION

This is to inform you that a settlement has been finalized in connection with the potential litigation between Verizon Business Network Services Inc. on behalf of Verizon California Inc. and City of Long Beach, pursuant to terms authorized by the City Council in closed session on May 4, 2010. Under the terms of this agreement, the City will receive $269,117.35.
