TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $7,000, offset by the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to Partners of Parks for the College Estates Parks neighborhood events; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $7,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

Partners of Parks is working with the College Estates Park neighborhood to host two community events this fall: Back to School Concert in the Park and Neighborhood Movie Night. This sponsorship will help provide funding for activities, entertainment, and the necessary permits.

This matter has been reviewed by Budget Analyst Joe R. Guerrero on August 3, 2023.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to Partners of Parks for the College Estates Parks neighborhood events. The total appropriation increase of $7,000 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation from the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. The recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the normal budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

DARYL SUPERNAW, COUNCILMAN, FOURTH DISTRICT
