TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file a report on the status of the City's infrastructure. (Citywide)
DISCUSSION
At its February 5, 2013 meeting, the City Council requested an update to the May 24, 2011 Infrastructure Report that detailed the state of the City's infrastructure. Since that time, many positive changes have occurred to improve the City's aging infrastructure; however, much more needs to be done to adequately repair and maintain the City's critical infrastructure.
This oral presentation will provide an overview of the successes that have been achieved over the last three years, repairing and maintaining the infrastructure, as well as the areas that need further investment.
This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Linda Vu on April 11, 2013 and by Budget Management Officer Victoria Bell on April 11, 2013.
TIMING CONSIDERATIONS
City Council action to receive and file this update to the state of the City's infrastructure is requested on April 23, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact as a result of the recommended action.
