TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromises and Releases for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $100,000 for the claim of Nicholas Bachert; and $7,500 for the claim of Sherryl Myles-Edwards in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.

DISCUSSION

Nicholas Bachert has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on April 18, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release by the City and Nicholas Bachert.

Approve recommendation.
