Recommendation to receive and file report for March 29, 2007 travel to Sacramento to discuss anti-gang efforts.
DISCUSSION
On March 29,2007 I traveled to Sacramento to meet with Mayors, police officials and legislators from across the state to discuss anti-gang efforts at a meeting hosted by Governor Schwarzenegger. A variety of gang prevention strategies were discussed including providing alternatives to youth such as after-school programs and better career education.

Approve recommendation.
